Job description:

• Work in close cooperation and contact with the Business Development Manager or the Business Developer in charge of the project.
• Prepare project budget & development plan in cooperation / guided by the Business Development Manager.
• Manage the day-to-day activities and contacts for the project, including subcontractors’ and partners’ performance.
• Ensure the implementation of the Project development guidelines and principles, analysing, mapping and implementing a detailed Project Development road map.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within budget and scope.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of the project and propose measures to reduce risk, time and cost of implementation.
• Ensure resource availability and on time allocation, alignment with planning and budget.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Manage and report on time all changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
• Report and escalate to Business Development Manager & Steering Committee as needed.
• Manage the relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Prepare presentations and reports for Steering Committee, Business Development team and Controlling.
• Maintain and promote values, strength and reputation of company and its business lines in.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business or related major.
• Post-graduation or specialization in project Management is a plus.
• More than 5 years working as a Project Manager in South Africa with at least 3 years experience within renewable energy project development.
• Experience in interacting with external stakeholders in a professional environment.
• Advanced user of Project Management tools.
• Fluent in English, other languages would be a plus.
